Mrs. Josie Tengtenga attends United Nations meetings
In February 2008, Mrs. Josie Tengatenga was part of the Anglican Communion Women's delegation at the United Nations conference in New York of the "Commission on the Status of Women." This was the third time she served as part of this official delegation. She participated at the invitation of the Hellen Wangusa, the Anglican Communion's Observer at the United Nations.
In addition, Mrs. Tengatenga delivered an address, the "Theological Basis for Financing Efforts for Gender Equality," at an event organized by the World Council of Churches.

She also visited the offices of the Malawi Mission at the UN, where she met with Ambassador Matenje. She was in the company of Mrs. Marjorie Ngaunje who was also a member ofthe Anglican Communion delegation.
