Chiweni School Library

With funding from the United Thank Offering (UTO), the above project commenced at the beginning of February 2010. We are constructing a school library with staffroom at Chiweni Junior Primary School in Chiradzulu Parish. The project which is estimated to cost US$14,000.00 is expected to finish by the end of May 2010. At the time of this report it was at ring beam level. A local contractor was hired to do the job while the office provides materials and supervision. The donor has taken Chiweni project as a model for other projects that they intend to undertake in our primary schools and have promised to fundraise for school toilets and possibly a three classroom block in order for the school to become a full primary school. All the funding for the project has been provided in two installments while that for furniture will be remitted in due course.
