ST. VERONICA MINISTRY
Mrs. Esther Malikita - Secretary of the Ministry
Ministry’s Executive organized a retreat on 20th
March 2010, which was held at Bishop Arden Centre at the Diocese
Headquarters. There was great support
from our Chaplain, Rev.Fr. Chanza, who opened the session with prayer and words
of encouragement.
The meeting started at 9:00am. Almost all Parishes were present including
our Rural Parish namely Malawi Parish. There were about seventy people who
attended this Day of Prayer.
The Parishes which did not attend were: Chirimba
and Chikwawa

We had three Preachers, Mrs. Christina Mandala,
Mrs. Mercy Mkweu and Mrs. Florence Banda who gave insights into the Word of
God. It was such a delight, with yells,
praises, excitements as we received the word being ministered to us, the
scripture came alive in the hearts of everyone present as we listened to
testimonies. Mrs Mandala taught us about Christian responsibilities, how we
should combine the word and the ministry to achieve desired results. She said
that we should exercise, educate our spirit with the word, by reading the bible
and spending quality time to listen to God’s Words regularly, that way, we will
develop our spirit for success and excellence. We shared testimonies of what
great and incredible things that God has done in our lives. Indeed it was a memorable time.
