2007 Annual Diocesan Youth Conference

From 28th November to 2nd December, 2007, youth from the diocese gathered at the Malawi Defense Forces’ Secondary School for their annual diocesan conference.

Mrs. Tengatenga invited a number of guest speakers to address the youth. These were from among diocesan officers and guests.

Fr. Milanzi from Eastern Zambia spoke on HIV and AIDS and courtship. He was helped by one young person from Youth Alive in Zambia.

Fr. John Wengrovius

Fr. John Wengrovius of Calvary Episcopal Church in Golden, Colorado was the guest preacher at the closing Eucharist at which Bishop James presided. The conference had been opened by the Bishop on the first night.

In addition to all the talks the young people spent afternoons playing all sorts of games.

Netball and football were the competitive games for which trophies were awarded during the closing Eucharist.
